In some scenarios, organizations limit the rollout of ClosePlan to a specific subset of their employees. In these cases, if a user without a license attempts to open a ClosePlan component in Salesforce, they will get an "Access Denied" message telling them they don’t have the proper permissions to access the tool.
Some organizations prefer to simply limit the display of the components of ClosePlan in Salesforce to those with a ClosePlan license only.
The following two methods show you different options for customizing ClosePlan components to limit the visibility to targeted audiences, allowing your organization to show the ClosePlan components for licensed users and make them invisible for non-licensed users.
Method 1: Applying a filter on the page layout using a checkbox on the user record
Method 2 (Options A & B): Applying a filter on the Page layout using User Profiles/permission set.
